MN State Fair!!

Yesterday we went to the State Fair! The day started out overcast, windy and a little cooler. But we didn't mind, it was nice not to have it be so hot. We went earlier in the morning and left in the early afternoon. We had a great time looking at all the animals and tasting lots of good food:)

Evie got tired from all the fun things that we did, so she decided to take a little nap. While she was napping we got to watch the lumberjacks! It was loud so Evie didn't sleep very long.

At the end of our day we found a grassy spot to let Evie out and stretch her legs. While we sat in the grass, Andy had to get his footlong hotdog and bottomless glass of milk. yummy!!! We had a great time taking Evie to the fair for her first time. I even think that we will go back next year!

Mall of America

This past Saturday we wanted to do something outside, but because it was raining we decided to go to the Mall of America!! We had a great time walking around, looking at the different stores and people watching too. Evie had a great time because there were a lot of new things to look at and who wouldn't want to get pushed around in a stroller all day!! We didn't really buy anything but lunch and some ice cream, it was more fun to just look.

Just before we went home we had to stop at Lego Land so that I could take a picture of Evie and her daddy! Aren't they cute?!

Another Family Reunion

This last weekend we went to wisconsin for my mom's family reunion. We stayed with my mom's younger brother Jeff and his wife Janet and their two kids, Matthew and Rachel. We had a great time seeing them again, and seeing all of our other family too.

Aunt Janet, Rachel and Evie at the picnic. It was a beautiful day!! There was lots of shade and a nice breeze to keep us cool. We ate lots of good food, played some games and just hung out together. Great times with family:)!!

Como Zoo

On Wednesday August 8th, we went to the Como Zoo. We went with Grandma Bailey, Krista and her boys, Micah and Ben. We had a great time looking at all the animals and watching all the people too! Evie and Micah sure had it great, they got to ride in strollers. Ben got a ride from his mommy in the carrier.

Micah and grandma B had lots of fun together. Micah was a little overwhelmed at all the things to look at. I don't think that he said two words the whole day, he was just busy lookin!!

There was also a little park with lots of rides. The kids were a little too small to go on any, but we found something for Micah to play on. He thought that these trucks were so much fun. He didn't want to get off and go home!!! We had a great day at the Zoo!!

Fun with cousins!

On Sunday August 5, we got together with Andy's family for a little afternoon party. We had cake and homemade ice cream and met Nathanael and Anna's little girl Amilia for the first time. She is so beautiful!!!

Playgroup

Today we had playgroup at a park in Long Lake. The park is mostly shaded so even though it was pretty hot today, it felt great in the shade. The kids that come to play have a great time playing together, but I think that the mom's enjoy themselves too. It feels wonderful to have some adult conversation!

10 Months Old!

Evie turned 10 months old this past saturday!! We just can't believe that she has grown up so fast. She is no longer a baby, but now a big girl. She loves to explore and taste and touch new things. We are so thankful to God for our wonderful and beautiful little girl:)!!
