Wisconsin Dells

We were able to go to the wisconsin dells again this year. For about the last 10 years or so we have gotten together with my mom's side of the family and celebrated christmas. We were able to see grandparents, aunts and uncles, and lots of cousins too! We don't really exchange gifts anymore, but we do have a great time in the pool and eating lots of good food!!!

Evie wasn't able to go in the pool last year, but this year she just loved being in the water:) She even went down the big slide with daddy!! I normally don't really want to go swimming, but it is funny how all that changes when you have kids. Now there was no option, in the pool I went, pregnant and all. Thank goodness I haven't gained any weight yet(it's from being sick so much), so my old suit still fit just fine. No two piece this year, haha:)!!

I wondered at how Evie would do taking naps and sleeping at night with us in the room, but she did just great! I think it was all that pool time that made her tired. She didn't care to be in her car seat on the way out and back, but other than that, she had a great weekend. Next year we will see what happens when we have two kids with us in the room. Maybe we'll pass one of them over to grandma and grandpa's room:)!!

Here are some pics from the weekend, enjoy!

Christmas Day

On Christmas morning, Andy, Evie and I had breakfast together and then we opened the gifts we got for each other. Andy and I had gone shopping together so we knew what we were getting(I guess that's just what happens when you've been married for a few years). But we really enjoyed watching Evie open the gifts we got for her.

After we had our family Christmas together, we headed over to Andy's parents house for another Christmas! We all opened gifts together and then we got lunch ready and on the table. Every year for the Bailey Christmas we have crab legs and then something else for those that don't like crab. This year we got some really yummy chicken from the schwans man:) We also had potatoes, salad and vegetables. It was a great lunch!!!

After lunch, we enjoyed playing with the gifts we got, or I guess you could say the gifts that the kids got:) The boys played a game together, the girls watched a movie and some even took naps. It was a great relaxing afternoon. Tim, Krista and the boys had to leave about 6pm so we had a light supper before they left. That is about the time when I came down with the flu. Evie and Andy had both had it the week before, so I guess it was just a matter of time before I came down with it. So we left to go home about 7pm.

Other than getting the flu, we had a great Christmas Day. Here are just a few pictures from our day. I hope you enjoy them:)!!

Christmas Eve

Well, it has been a long time since I have blogged. It is hard to believe how fast the holidays go by. I will try to catch you up on what we have been up to the last couple of weeks.

On Christmas Eve, we went over to my parents house for the afternoon and evening. We had some great food, read the Christmas story and then opened presents. Evie had a great time opening and playing with her new toys. The day was very relaxing, we just enjoyed being together. We put Evie to bed, stayed up and played some cards, and then watched a movie. I think we got home around 1:30am. What a great day!!!!

Here are some pictures of Evie opening and playing with her gifts. Enjoy:)!!
